The Unplugged Weekend

17 – 18 May 2014, Kent

We have a beautiful barn and acres of Kent countryside, what else could we possibly need? You of course! Join us on this back to basics weekend as we invite you to switch off your phone, tune in and reconnect to your wireless self. Less Bear Grylls, more Bare Necessities, we’ll explore what we really need to feel true connection.

Arriving at this unique space on Saturday morning and leaving Sunday afternoon, there’ll be 3 yoga classes with East London’s finest Hayley Johns (including Vinyasa Flow and an evening restorative yoga session), a guided herb walk, we’ll be crafting natural remedies, getting arty with some inspiration from Nature, and perhaps even indulge in some wild swimming!

VENUE: We’ve chosen The Quadrangle – a centre for sustainable living and the creative arts – as the perfect place to unplug and connect. The Quadrangle is in Shoreham, Kent, just 45 minutes from London. We’ll be sleeping in a lovingly restored barn surrounded by magical grounds, an orchard, vegetable gardens and the river Darent.

SCHEDULE: Please arrive at 9.30am on Saturday, where tea and treats await you. We’ll be starting promptly at 10am with yoga. After lunch we’ll explore our surroundings, identifying and discussing medicinal plants we meet along the way. We have the afternoon for some crafty activities, before a deeply relaxing restorative yoga session to take us to dinner. There’ll be yoga on Sunday morning and an opportunity to make some natural remedies to take home, before we leave at 2pm.

Shiatsu-style chair massage is also available, which focuses on relieving tension in the back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands and head. Sessions are 20 minutes and cost £15.
